The World Health Organization defined health as “a state of
complete physical, mental, and social well-being, and not merely the absence of
disease or infirmity.” Irrespective of the definition of health, disease
undermines the overall well-being of an individual. Therefore, learning the origin of disease may help you prevent disease, and live well.
Life is a learning experience: everything and everyone you
encounter can be your teacher, if you are willing to be the student. The more
you learn about the origin of disease, the less likely you will become ill.
There is no perfect health and
wellness, just as there are no miracle cures for any disease. Your goal in life is to prevent disease to enhance the quality of your life. Learn disease origin.
In Western medicine, the apparent root cause of an illness
is diagnosed based on the symptoms of the illness; but the symptoms are merely
a reflection of the internal disharmony. Therefore, understanding disease
origin holds the key to preventing disease in the first place.
There are three basic and important criteria for understanding
the origin of disease: acquiring a mind-set to become well; paying attention to
yourself, both body and mind, in a positive manner; and empowering yourself
with appropriate information to prevent disease by making the necessary lifestyle changes.
Disease Origin: Cells
Disease begins at the cellular level. Your cells make up
your organs and tissues. Disease prevention is keeping them in their optimum
conditions.

Acid-and-alkaline balance

processed foods, tobacco, pharmaceutical drugs, pesticides etc.) and from
chemical reactions (e.g. oxidation during breathing, digestion etc.) within
your body. Free radicals can cause cancer, heart disease, and many other human diseases and disorders.

Eat only super foods. Eat naturally. Go organic, wherever
possible. Processed foods are loaded with chemicals to prolong food shelf life but
to shorten human life.
Disease Origin: Stress
In addition to preventing disease at the cellular level, it
is equally important to prevent disease at the emotional level.
Emotions can cause stress, which is another major origin of disease. Stress is your body’s response to increased tension to body cells. Too
much stress becomes distress – which is alienation, anxiety, depression, fear, frustration, and ultimately disease.
Chronic stress not only adversely affects the release of

is easy, but to change a person’s temperament is much more difficult.” So, instead
of discipline, use repetition to change your mental perceptions. Learning to
change the perception changes the response. Any change in lifestyle should be

To prevent disease, the following will not work:
